In this webinar, we'll discuss why and under what circumstances you might want to use social network analysis (SNA) in your work, explore the pros and cons of current SNA software tools, and review some examples of SNA evaluation projects. We'll also identify some common challenges and caveats to using SNA, and share a list of SNA-related resources.

Learn more about our presenter, Amanda Beacom, PhD, MPP:

Amanda developed expertise in social network analysis during her health communication PhD program, where she used it to evaluate community health coalitions and study the dissemination of evidence-based health care practices. After graduate school, she used SNA to understand how professional networks impact the quality of care in nursing homes across Canada, as part of a postdoctoral fellowship; and then applied SNA to the evaluation of numerous social impact programs in her role as VP of Research & Evaluation for Visible Network Labs, a Denver-based consulting company. She's now looking for her next position here in Boston and taking advantage of a flexible schedule to engage in professional development activities, like GBEN webinars.

Please note: If you are a GBEN member, this event is free. GBEN members, make sure you are logged into the website before registering.
